Talid Magdy, online producer magdyt@knews.com Talid moved to Knoxville in July 2005 from Los Angeles where he worked as an Online Coordinator for a software company and previously as an Executive Assistant for NBC. He went to high school at a French school "Lycee la liberte" in Cairo, Egypt, He studied business at Ain Shams University and studied computers at The American University, both in Cairo, He is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
Marti Davis, reporter martidav@comcast.net Marti has worked as a reporter at the News Sentinel for more than 21 years. She came to Knoxville from her hometown of St. Louis, where she was a reporter at the St. Louis Globe-Democrat. Marti has a bachelor's degree from William Woods College. She has been heavily involved in community news throughout her career here. Marti and her husband, Bill, have two children, Sarah Levary, 23, and Ben, 17.
Ed Marcum, reporter marcum@knews.com Ed Marcum, Bearden native and University of Tennessee journalism graduate, has been covering community news and the Metropolitan Planning Commission for about 15 years. He and his wife, Lisa, a freelance photographer who has contributed photographs to the News Sentinel, live in North Knoxville.
