Episcopal School Hosts January Open House

The Episcopal School of Knoxville will host an Open House for all grades on Sunday, Jan. 13, at 2-4 p.m.

Parents may bring children or come alone. No reservations are required. The school is located at 950 Episcopal School Way off Lovell Road in West Knoxville.

At the Open House, parents will tour classrooms and meet with faculty and staff to learn about the curriculum and programs of the school. Episcopal School Headmaster Jay Secor and Admissions Director Peter Klekamp will be on hand. Visitors may also meet with current students and their parents.

The Episcopal School is enrolling in grades K-8 with an upper school program beginning in 2010.

The Episcopal School offers an interdisciplinary curriculum, art, music, foreign language, character education, daily chapel and interscholastic athletics including flag football, tennis, volleyball, co-ed soccer, basketball and cross country. The average class size is 14. The school is affiliated with the Episcopal Church and offers a faith-based environment but actively seeks children of diverse faith and background.

The Episcopal School is now in its tenth year. It has an enrollment of 284 (89 Middle School students and 195 students in grades K-5).
