Knoxville Football Club (KFC) Crush
Liverpool U-17 boys' soccer team won their fourth straight
Tennessee State Soccer Association Division 1 Championship on November 11 th, 2007, in Smyrna, TN. This is an unprecedented accomplishment for
KFC with four consecutive top level state championships by the same team. This again qualifies
Liverpool to compete in the
Regional Championship Tournament in the National Championship Series being held June 19-25, 2008, in Raleigh NC, as well as the
Region III Premier League which is composed of the best teams from the Southeastern United States.
KFC
Liverpoolkicked off the Friday night match by handily beating the Brentwood Chaos by a score of 4-1. In a similar game on Saturday,
Liverpoolout-played TNFC with another 4-1 victory with two goals scored in each half. The championship game on Sunday afternoon matched up
Liverpool against their long-standing rival the Lakeway Kickers from Morristown. Again,
Liverpool prevailed with a winning score of 4-1 sealing their claim to a fourth consecutive State Division I Title! Coach John Craven has taken this talented team to their most recent state championship victories in 2007 and 2008.
Liverpool won their first and second titles in 2005 and 2006 under Coach Scott Muir.
The 2007/2008 KFC
Liverpoolplayers attend the following area high schools: Bearden, Catholic, Christian Academy of Knoxville, Carter, Farragut, and West High Schools; Morristown West; Oak Ridge High School; McMinn County; and Father Ryan, Battle Ground Academy, and Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville.
