The Knoxville Football Club (KFC) U15 Boys Holland Blueteam, coached by Shane Moore and Darrick Lubell, progressed to the championship game of the Division I State Championship before losing to the Tennessee Rush 0-1 in the second overtime on November 11th in Smyrna, TN. During this extended match, Holland Blue dominated the first half of play but the ball never found the back of the net by the Knoxville team in the Finals on Sunday.

Under the lights Friday night, the boys defeated their rival, the TNFC Premier from Nashville, with a goal scored by Williams in the first half and again on a textbook header by McLaughlin on a corner kick -- which sealed TNFC's fate. On Saturday, Holland Blue soundly defeated another Nashville team, the Tennessee United. Goals were scored by Lethco, Duke and Pugh in a 3-0 victory. Having only allowed two goals during the state championship tournament to reach the Finals, this exceptional group of players from Knox, Blount, Anderson, Hamblen, and Meigs counties have qualified to play in the Region III Premier League which is composed of the best teams from the Southeastern United States.
