OAK RIDGE, TN (Dec. 21, 2007) - Looking for a unique way to spend your holidays? Consider hammering a few nails this holiday season for Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County. Construction will resume on Saturdays starting December 29.
Habitat has two houses under construction at the Hickory Ridge Subdivision in Clinton. Volunteers of all skill levels are encouraged to get involved. No experience is required to volunteer - just a wiliness to learn. Volunteers are asked to sign-up in advance to work by contacting Amanda Walters at 482-7713,

Construction volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and required paperwork must be completed prior to arriving at the construction site. All forms are available online at
www.hfhfac.org - just click the Volunteer Paperwork link listed on the home page. Forms for construction volunteers ages 16 and 17 must be signed by a parent/legal guardian and notarized.
Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, is a nonprofit ecumenical ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity brings together people with resources and people in need to build simple, decent, affordable houses. The houses are sold to those in need at no profit, through no-interest loans.
