Tis the Season...for Holiday Shows

The Creative Arts Co-op presents the holiday productions 'The Gift of the Magi' and 'Not on This Night' - two small plays in one evening.

While they are smaller in length, they are not small in theatrical kick - or the meaning of Christmas. The classic O. Henry tale 'The Gift of the Magi' is brought to life in quiet simplicity - retelling the story of Jim and Della and the unselfish sacrifice of love.

'Not on This Night' is set during WWII in the French countryside. Not a typical holiday play, 'Not on This Night' takes an emotional punch at the most basic human needs and the beautiful sound of a 'Slient Night'. At a time when our soldiers are once again wandering foreign lands during the holidays, it reminds us of all we have to be thankful for and the need for random acts of kindness.

'We have been very fortunate this season with several local businesses sponsoring these shows,"stated Mary Kaye Eisenberg, Co-op director. " Edward Jones Investments of Kingston, The UPS Store, and Laura's Liquor and Wine Store are major sponsors for the holiday shows. Business support helps us develop quality productions close to home."

Shows are scheduled for December 7, 8, and 15, 2007 and will take place at Holy Joe's, 426 N. Roane Street, Harriman, TN. Tickets are $5.00 at the door.
