The March 06 issue of Money magazine has the Knoxville area ranked #3 in the nation as "Worst Places To Close". The article deals with metro areas that have the higest pretax closing charges when closing a home loan. The nation's average is 0.4%. The Knoxville area comes in at 0.75%!
We'd all like to "shop local", but with rates like these, you'd do much better shopping on the internet.
